VOROZHBYT&ZEMSKOVA – SS 2020

The designer duo Vorozhbyt&Zemskova, among the most experienced and best known in Ukraine, represent Spring-Summer 2020 collection that was clearly inspired by 1970s and 1980s. There is no literal style quotes from across these decades, but an eclectic fashion mix. ‘We created a bright, energetic, free-spirited collection that combines hippie style, island aesthetics, and the palette of the azure sea and the glare of the sun. Asymmetric cut, belts, ties and bows, bright colors and free, non-constraining silhouettes: the new Vorozhbyt&Zemskova collection is the embodiment of relaxation and comfort. Designers keep focus on the sleeves using puff, cut-outs, as well as draperies. The shoulder line is exaggerated, and in some cases is naked.

The colour palette of the upcoming summer includes the shades of mint, lilac, rose, blue, turquoise, and emerald. According Vorozhbyt&Zemskova, silk is the main material and perfect summer fabric. They use chiffon, satin, crepe, stretch silk, silk with viscose, silk with wool. To emphasize the lightness of silk, designers added a bit of rough linen and cotton.

The official partner of the show Grono Cruises, a leading cruise travel club, in collaboration with the designers, created invitations with a fashionable ‘message in a bottle’.
